    The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed Lyle Overbay, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports.  In a corresponding move, the team announced that they have designated Juan Jaime for assignment.     According to Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com, veteran first baseman Lyle Overbay has cleared waivers and will become a free agent. Overbay was designated for assignment by the Pirates late in July.
